Never knew about your FolkFest so I checked out Peter's comments about the stages/line-up...September makes my head spin with all the great festivals too, not to mention apple picking.

Yes, Ottawa's Folk Fest is just one of Ottawa's MANY fantabulous music festivals. We are so lucky!!!

Back to Shelley. Yeah, fests do tend to do that overlap thing. O.F.F. used to be better at setting thing so the acts in same general genre did not overlap horribly. (THANKS CHRIS WHITE). Less so now. And, gaining that "signature" Blues Fest crap sound and competing stages too. Alas. Just my not very humble opinion of course. ;^)

PeterB, Nice shout-out the Chris White!!! He is a MAINSTAY in the folk music scene. Despite the overlap I just LOVE both Bluesfest and O.F.F. Vincent--Ottawa does indeed have a GREAT jazz scene too--Jazz Fest is fabulous.
