Thanks Rob. I read that Kimmo Pohjonen is now touring with the Kronos Quartet. I think you would enjoy his music.

Huh. I'll have to check that out. I sure like Kronos...

Hi All, Rob--Really enjoying the music today--great to listen to on this winter's afternoon--hope you feel better soon. Vincent--thanks for the comments last week on W2MW--all the way from Kingston--hope all is well given the big construction accident that happened there.

...and thanks for your kind words. I, too, hope I'm feeling better soon. I'm taking a trip to Paris for the holidays, so I need to get well before that.

...and speaking of Paris, stick around; later in the show we'll take a short aural trip there!

I see you have Malcolm McLaren queued up shortly. Don't know Paris, so that should be interesting. What an amazingly diverse career!

Hey, Peter, you're in for a real treat. I think Paris is a true masterpiece, and criminally underrated. Best thing he ever did!

Thanks, Alnoor! Gonna go home and directly back to bed after the show!

YES indeed, Malcolm McLaren Paris is indeed very cool! Gotta get me that. (Listening to CKCU can be an expensive habit ... ;^) I assume you are familiar with Fans, operatic remix-y stuff. Way ahead of its time. One of my personal favourites.

I am, and I'm also fond of Duck Rock, the hip-hop meets township jive meets square dance record that was also way ahead of its time.

...but if you go to buy Paris, make sure you get the double-disc version. The first one that came out domestically had only one disc, and that was missing a couple of songs. The second disc is mostly instrumental remixes, but well worth it.
