It's hard to believe we’ve been sharing the best in traditional music together from the British Isles and beyond since September 18, 2005. With thanks to my generous listeners, I want to celebrate by sharing my favourite songs and tunes this morning. This is music that I’ve returned to again and again over the years in my own listening as well as on the radio -- tied together for me because it sits just as comfortably in the present as it does in the tradition.
We'll hear three sets that each follow the pattern I use in a typical show, starting with slower, softer, more introspective material, and building up to the most contemporary and high-energy material later in the set.
I hope you enjoy those songs and tunes as much as I enjoy bringing them to you.
