Some music to mark and celebrate Eid al-Fatir with our Muslim community today. And then a mix of music including some artists coming to town.

We open with about 40 minutes of music by a variety of Muslim artists to mark and celebrate Eid al-Fatir with our Muslim community. This Islamic holy day marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. One of the songs is by the Lebanese trio Mashrou' Leila and it is accompanied by a powerful video that the artists say is to challenge Western stereotypes about Muslim women. They hail from the UK and call out any of us who are bystanders to abuse in the song Silence Is Consent.
