Death and Life, Grief and Hope. A show dedicated to the memory of my friend and colleague Pam Belyea who died suddenly during the Christmas holiday at the age of 50.

It's never easy when people die. It's even tougher when they are young and leave us very suddenly. Over the Christmas holiday period, a good friend and amazing colleague, Pam Belyea died of a heart attack at the age of 50. Her death has left a lot of sadness and questions in those left behind. It has left an aching hole in her family and in the community at Queen Elizabeth Public School where Pam was a core French teacher for many years. She was an amazing person - very supportive of her children, her friends and colleagues and the students she taught at her school. She was an amazing role model and a great inspiration to many young people and she is sadly missed. Tonight's show is dedicated to Pam and those who mourn her passing. The first hour of the show includes songs about people dying and their spirits moving on - and the sadness and grief that evokes. The second hour features songs that speak of the beauty of life and the power of amazing people we meet along our journey. The show is dedicated to Pam, her family and all those whose Pam's short life touched in many positive ways. It is also dedicated to anyone who has suffered a loss recently - and my hope is that the celebratory and life-affirming songs in the second hour of the show provide you with solace and a sense of hope for what lies ahead. Rest in peace Pam. https://ottawacitizen.remembering.ca/obituary/pamela-belyea-parsons-1084098992

Thanks hb. It's a difficult thing to comprehend for family and friends of Pam... and for anyone who loses someone so young. Hopefully anyone who has gone through such a loss lately will find some solace in the music. Thanks for listening
