Jillian Kerr is an always-welcome guest to the Blend. She's based in Kingston for the moment, but she's going to be back in Ottawa on June 24 to release her new EP at The Cross on Elgin. She joins us for a chat and some songs. https://www.bytownsound.ca/event/jillian-kerr-friends-ep-release-party-paul-hampsey-the-cross/ and www.jilliankerr.ca
Twin Flames is a captivating duo that combines two accomplished and very unique singer songwriters Chelsey June, an Algonquin Cree M├ętis Woman from Ottawa, and Jaaji, an Inuk Mohawk man from Nunavik and Kahnawake. Despite polar opposite backgrounds Twin Flames found a common musical language. Together they take the audience on a musical journey across Canada and the Arctic, they echo the voices of their ancestors and depict life on the land as they sing songs in English, French and Inuktitut. They leave audiences fascinated and intrigued. Twin Flames play at the Canadian Museum of Nature June 10, and they join us for a live performance in studio. https://nature.ca/en/plan-your-visit/what-see-do/whats/arctic-twin-flames
