| Brad MacKay is the founder of the Doug Wright Awards, Canada's national comics awards. Doug Wright was famous for his "Nipper" cartoons. Brad and helpers founded the awards in 2005, and the 2017 awards were just held in Toronto. The awards are currently doing an original art auction as a fundraiser with 15 pieces of original art based on Archie comics. | Aziza Eckert (https://www.youtube.com/user/MiaLunaLuca) and Amanda Willbond are two of a large number of musicians and artists contributing their skills to a fundraising concert for flood relief that happens Saturday, May 27 at the Cross on Elgin. Local musician Billy BOone spearheaded the concert and silent auction to raise funds for those affected by this spring's floods.
