Good evening Mr Steve! Cooking while listening.

BTW: is the volume lower this week so far, or is it at my end?

6:08 PM, March 1st, 2025
Steve Kirkland (host)
The music will be cooking along with you, Dave. As for the volume, my best suggestion is for you to monitor and adjust at your end...

I was wondering when that New York Dolls guy would show up!

6:43 PM, March 1st, 2025
Steve Kirkland (host)
Wonder no more, B!

Coming back to Johansen (and guessing lot), I'll suggest that his making it to that ripe old age is pretty damned good for someone who (and here's the presumption) probably went through various excesses in his stage musician's life. Damn! The stage punk cross-dressing, at the time, too!

(and guessing A lot)

COOL cover of Southern Man! Owned, not replicated. As i am prone to say, sure take lots of nerve to even try to cover a powerful classic!

7:15 PM, March 1st, 2025
Steve Kirkland (host)
B, DJ he was one of two members of The Dolls whose excesses were markedly held in check relative to the other three, and he rose above the ashes of that band to carve out a decent career.

Thanks Steve.

Radio is marginally better. Could be a very long slow build up though.

Actually, it's not Dave, the (near)silence is part of the King Crimson track, and in honour of the recently deceased percussionist Jamie Muir, I didn't edit out the beginning.

My radio feed hasn't varied (that I've noticed) since 6:10 or so.
