Ah…! Mr Kirkland! I’ve missed Volume, Contrast, Brilliance for several weeks while here in Cape Breton. But now - I finally have time to sit back and absorb your fantastic taste and bathe my ears and musical psyche in incredible music! And “AI Girlfriend” - what a treat! Cheers, Steve!!

Howdy Gee! Hope you enjoyed the island... I was away for two shows while I was on the island on the other coast... Glad we're both back in the proverbial saddle.

I remember seeing Shriekback at Barrymore’s in 1983(?) Dressed in black cossacks playing Fender guitars and synthesizers! What a great show for the 30/40 people who were there! Great songwriters…

I remember seeing Shriekback at Barrymores myself, Gee.

Been listening. Great variety. And God, but Burton Cummings had a great pop voice!

Hi Benoît... I have always thought Burton Cummings is an amazing vocalist. Cheers

Small crowd there, as I recall. First time I heard them was on CKCU. Most of my musical taste is influenced by the DJs/hosts I listened to on 93.1. Your show, especially, and Nadine’s Friday afternoon show… Chopper, of course… god rest their souls…

Gee, don't get me misty-eyed...

Hey - something totally weird just happened: “Walk Away Renee” played here on the local radio station and you played the cover minutes after I heard it here! I spoke to my dinner companion and told her as it came on her radio that it was one of the mist beautiful ballads/love songs ever written and that it was also a difficult song to sing. And I turned back to my phone (listening to your show on the internet) and heard the cover 5 minutes later on your show! That is totally crazy, Steve! I swear…

Nice King Crimson cover BTW.

Gee, that is weird... I prefer the original, it is indeed a classic. I don't find it difficult to sing, but I only sing it to myself so I can't judge.
