For example, we learn about Emma Goldman: the Russian anarchist who immigrated to the U.S. to lecture about human rights and caring for the underprivileged (mentioned in Henry Miller’s “Tropic of Cancer” and portrayed by Maureen Stapleton in Warren Beatty’s film “Reds” .
