snow and wind send you all into hiding?

Wally
It is very windy out there and it seems like winter is coming back to haunt us. Tuned in a bit late as we went out for some Indian food

Indian food good. Winter... Meh. Cheers Wally!

Hi Steve, I just found your radio station and I would love to listen to your show. It looks like that you play my kind of music. Somehow my computer doesn't want to stream your station unfortunately. I am on the other side of the border. Sending you good vibes and best wishes. :=)

In a bit late, and sporadic is i get some dining wrangled. Not Indian, but does involve some juicy-big portobellos. ;^) A lovely early Dec day in N. Scotland. But for sure we are not "sprung" entirely yet. Usually some snow into April... I like winter BTW; less so the in between bits.

Bauhaus also played in Ottawa and if I remember correctly the first time was at the Fyfe & Drum (downstairs at the Beacon Arms Hotel) and my brother has pictures of that show taken a few feet from the band

It’s a funny thing: cold and kinda nasty outside, but Volume, Contrast, Brilliance, for me anyway, keeps that that wintry chill at bay… and as always, I am thankful for this great music…

Hi Patricia on the other side of the border. Not sure why you're on the (un)receiving end of the CKCU stream. Did you try clicking on "Listen" on our Homep[age www.ckcufm.com?

A little trivia, Loyal Listeners: some Cool alt/outside the pop world bands from the late 60s appearing on prime time tv: The Seeds sang “Pushin’ Too Hard” on a sitcom in ‘68 “The Mothers-in-Law” and I remember watchin’ that show and it was the first time I heard that song or heard of The Seeds and it just affected me and I was agog, too say the least! Then on The Munsters, another tv comedy in the swingin’ 60s featured The Standells - man!

Gee, good memory... and memorable times. I was recalling with friends Frank Zappa's cameo with The Monkees (jury was out on whether it was on their TV show or in the movie Head).

Don’t remember Zappa, but was a fan of the Monkees (guess I was 10 then).I was 10 when I heard The Standells - “Dirty Water “ and I was just amazed and astounded. First time hearing of the band and I recognized a great song! Then The Seeds - I would have been 13 years old. I remember Alice Cooper in the film Diary of a Mad Housewife… cared less about the movie after they appearance…
