Gee
What a joyful reminder! Thanks for that, Mister Kirkland - and for the great music (though we are now without Ms Faithfull, rest her soul…)

Cheers Gee!

On a cold day, the reminder that Spring is coming is encouraging and great music can help us make it there, thanks Steve 👍

Good, crispy evening!

Re "spring": I've noticed for quite a few years that south-facing indoor plants , by around February 8, have started regrowing, or growing a lot faster. A week from now. Roughly.

Enjoying the mod set of songs 👌👍

Hi Benoît, it is a crisp one... made more palatable by the fact it was so sunny today... the falling sun turned the sky a lovely orange.... and Thanks for the indoor gardening tip!

My brother and I saw A Certain Ratio in Montreal just after their first album came out and they put on a brilliant show.

I bet, Wally. Club concerts in the 80s... sweet memories... well, the ones I still retain, anyway.

Enjoyed that trumpet, thanks for that

A beautiful version of Biko. However, Peter Gabriel's original feels a hell of a lot more visceral -- the sound of Gabriel's voice, dramatic as anything.

Steve Kirkland (host)
Hey Terry. Thanks for dropping a line, Cheers.

Is there any way to search for "Now Playing"?

7:50 PM, February 1st, 2025
Steve Kirkland (host)
Benoît, I haven't heard a bad version of Biko, expressly because it is a great song, notwithstanding that for the same reason, it's a challenge to do it justice. I'm with you on Gabriel's original.

7:50 PM, February 1st, 2025
Jonas
OK. It looks like it's the last one in the list.

Saw Peter Gabriel perform Biko at the Civic Center in the early 1980’s, what a great song and it's hard to match his version but I still live hearing covers

7:55 PM, February 1st, 2025
Wally
That shoukd say "love hearing covers"

7:56 PM, February 1st, 2025
