Benoît
Good THUNDER day! I just (stupidly) drove to my food store, which is obviously closed. For some reason. Doh!

6:12 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
Hi there, Benoît... too bad... obliviousness to this holiday has its upsides, though

6:15 PM, July 1st, 2023
B
Yup. Car traffic was seriously down around six. Won't be later, I suppose. This is more my gig.

6:20 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
B: Stay home... stay dry... stay cool... stay breathing... glad you're tuned in. Cheers.

6:23 PM, July 1st, 2023
B
Breathing is good. I make it a habit.

6:35 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
... an in-and-out habit, at that.

6:40 PM, July 1st, 2023

6:42 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
Howdy hillbilly... it's been a while (not!)... but it's always good to hear from you! That hot air circulating around Ottawa and l'Outouais is not something anyone needs be full of... Cheers

Thanks for the spin of the Roy Moller CD yesterday and today. We have never done a concept album before but Roy's story is a very interesting one that was published in a Toronto Newspaper a while back - https://torontosun.com/2016/02/16/man-discovers-canadian-connection-in-search-for-parents

6:56 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
My pleasure Wally... the more I listen to the album/learn the story the more I'm drawn in. Cheers

Hey Steve. Was listening to music, then realized the time...time flies....I just tuned in. Hopefully, downpours will take away some of the smoke.. Anyway, all yours now! B: I've sadly done that before too. At least never gone to work (yet) on a stat holiday!

Steve: oblivious or not, you may want to check out Steph Strings, an Australian woman who finger picks her guitar, plus a lot more. 3rd August at the Rainbow, 4th at Neat Coffee House in Burnstown.

7:29 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
Another great tip B... where's Burnstown?

7:38 PM, July 1st, 2023
Steve Kirkland (host)
Thanks all, for tuning in... and commenting.

7:58 PM, July 1st, 2023
B
Burnstown is roughly an hour west of Ottawa: out the 417, then left on the Calabogie Road (518) a short way. Lovely place, the Neat Coffee House. (The 417 is 4 lanes almost all the way, and 110 speed limit so...) https://neatmusicandcoffee.ca/

Thanks B
