1919 not... 2020 (ugh)

Next week (24 October) and the subsequent two (Hallowe'en night and November 07) will be Funding Drive programs, absent the benefit of a co-host, two turntables, two CD players and live interaction... The interactive CKCU Comment feature will prevail to facilitate your comments along with my thanks for your support. As CKCU-FM heads towards half a century of providing Ottawa and the l'Outaouais and (more recently) those outlying wherever with great radio, we continue to rely on and appreciate donations from listeners, friends, family... from near or far. Tonight, indulge in two long sets of music, sans interruption... as for the next three shows, we'll be asking you to indulge us -- we need your support keeps us on the air.

Paul Barlow who played for a time in Hambi & The Dance sent me an email this afternoon and told me as we had been emailing back and forth this past week talking about the band and he said he might have some demos by them which I would love to hear. Paul recorded a cool cover of an Sound song for our Adrian Borland tribute a while back which we hope to release soon.

Will be groundbreaking territory for the next three programs, pre-recording Funding Drive shows... gone are the phone line and the ritual of someone coming into the studio from the Phone Room to advise us of an incoming pledge... www.ckcufm.com will be upgraded this Monday to include information on how to Donate online

sire of sirest, wow! no-one knoweth how to show up in person or pay with cash. I just learned how to use my credit card. Lemmy sounded more romantic than the David on Heroes! How do I cover the word 'thanks"? in autre language?

7:36 PM, October 17th, 2020
Steve Kirkland (host)
Mikep, the man played himself in a movie living in a closet with whatever possessions he had... how romantic is that?

7:37 PM, October 17th, 2020
Mike P
