Blessings Junior Smith. My grandmother passed away last weekend and my family would like an announcement made on the Reggae in the Fields show today. Here it is: “Please join with me in taking a moment to exalt Miss Enid Advira Minott, who passed onto higher heights this Sunday passed, on the 18th of October. Beloved mother of two, grandmother to five, sister, cousin, confidante and inspiration to many, Enid was a pillar in the Jamaican community of Ottawa. Those of us to whom she was close honour moments spent in her presence and now cherish those memories. We remember her as she lived fiercely- passionate, proud, spirited and unafraid. We feel her reflection and see her smile in the last of the summer sun. Enid will be lain to rest at Beechwood Cemetery.” Thanks a million.
