Reggae In The Fields
Saturday May 24th, 2014 with Junior Smith
Launch of new series, "Yoga for Your Life," on improving your health (to be heard regularly every second Saturday of each month at 15:30). Also interview with Jay Martin, Jamaican Canadian comedian.

Kathryn Flynn Experience clear communication, thoughtful sequencing, and excellent soundtracks in Kathryn’s yoga classes. Committed to personalizing your practice and providing hands-on enhancements – she’s known for her child’s pose backrubs – Kathryn provides a class setting where all levels of student will have a well-rounded practice. She always takes requests at the beginning of class, so if there’s something you’re yearning to practice – we can make it happen! Kathryn’s training, teaching and personal practice incorporate elements of many lineages and theories of yoga. Enthusiastically embracing the mantra that “there’s not one way to do triangle!”, she approaches each practice, body, and class contextually. Her greatest teachers are ones you may not have heard of, as is the case with most of us. Particular affection and education have come from Mona Warner of Janati Yoga, and Dallas Delahunt of Studio 330. Beyond these primary resources have been Jason Crandell, Susi Hately Aldous, Seane Corn, Sadie Nardini and Paul Grilley, and most importantly, her yogic peers in teaching and learning who provide community and education. JAY MARTIN Born of Jamaican decent, Martin was always the entertainer; Martin’s first big success came in 1997 when he and his brother’s band, Devon & the Metro Squad, received a JUNO award for best Rap & R&B album. Martin’s comedy is unique, he doesn’t need to rely on swearing or raunchy humour and it has been well received by audiences wherever he goes. In his first year of comedy, Martin has had the pleasure of performing on stage with well known comics such as Canada’s Russell Peters Jean Paul, and Marc Trinidad and American Comics; Earthquake, DC Curry, Damon Williams and many more. On all occasions, Martin has more than held his own. Jay Martin’s comedy is a must see. His refreshing style of humour will have you laughing uncontrollably as he takes you on a journey like none other. Once you see him on stage, you can’t imagine that there is any other place he’d rather be.
