Ottawa has been experiencing quite the heat wave. Both Wednesday and Thursday local temperatures have been in excess of 30 degrees!
June 8th was recorded to be the hottest day in history for the whole planet!
That again happened this last Monday and Tuesday!
This is an international emergency!

His BORIS GARDINER HAPPENING includes KEITH STERLING on organ, WALLACE WILSON on guitar, PETER ASHBOURNE on piano, and LARRY MCDONALD and PAUL DOUGLAS on drums. The group has released four albums and various singles since 1970 featuring REGGAE, SOUL, DUB, MENTOS and FUNK, as in the case of "Ghetto FunK" which features the Jamaican pianist LESLIE BUTLER. |

K A R L I N The late FRED KARLIN was a JAZZ trumpeter, composer and arranger who really got his reputation providing music for television and motion picture scores in the 1960's and 1970's. His 'Original Motion Picture Score' for the movie 'Up The Down Stair Case' contained a wicked FUNK instrumental called "Your Hip Miss Pastorfield" which has often been played by dj's specializing in the 1960's FUNK sound. |
