We thought that this was a most appropriate way to celebrate the release of DNA - the new album by CERRONE. Those of us who have admired and followed the music of MARC CERRONE since the 1970's always knew he had a musical approach that had little to do with his "sexual music" of the classic "Love In C Minor" and "Cerrone's Paradise"; his "exhilarating romantic music" of timeless gems like "Look For Love" and "You Are The One" or his "African experiments" with the original KONGAS group, his classic "Africanism" and his twenty-first century collaborations with MANU DIBANGO and TONY ALLEN. That was his esoteric approach to Eurodisco that gave us unforgettable recordings like "Supernature" featuring the eerie vocals of CHI CHI FAVELAS singing the stunning LENE LOVICH lyrics.
No other single French EURODISCO recording has generated such a deep obsession in the different generations and has been so often remixed and interpreted. "Supernature" has become timeless. Tens of millions of young people know the controversial CERRONE of radical themes and messages. DNA continues all of that! There is the logic in featuring the entire DNA album is complemented with "Supernature", parts of "The Collector" (A MARC CERRONE OPERA) mixed with other goodies including choice percussive solo work and his SPACE MUSIC.
