Mark Bell (1971-2014) a special tribute featuring an LFO mix by TEKNOBRAT

MARK BELL joined GEZ VARLEY to create the innovative British TECHNO band LFO evidently named after the low-frequency oscillator, a synthesizer function often used in electronic music. In 1990, LFO would become one of the super-groups from the highly influential WARP Records label. They had a distinctive sound that is often connected to the BLEEP TECHNO genre. LFO grew to be known around the world. We are excited to offer a special hour long mix of LFO classics by TEKNOBRAT with records he had actually played back on the original PLANET RAVE radio show where he literally introduced the band to Canada! This show ends off with compositions MARK BELL released under other names like SPEED JACK and COUNTERPOINT. Also there are MARK BELL remixes of tracks from a wide variety of different artists, along with BJORK and DEPECHE MODE music he produced. MARK BELL was an incredible musician, producer and remixer who collaborated greatly with BJORK. His monumental contribution to TECHNO, LEFTFIELD and CHILL/AMBIENT genres will continue to influence and inspire Producers and DJ'S throughout 'mondo disco' for decades to come!
