Saturday March 29th, 2025 with Pat Moore
There's definitely a focus on what's going on around here, (Kate Greenland, Russell deCarle, Pat Temple, Ray Harris, and more, plus a handful of Older bluegrass choices mixed in.

Good afternoon! Today I'm proudly bringing you a couple of demo recordings - songs written and performed by Kate Greenland with a bunch of stellar local musicians, (a sneak peak at her upcoming full length album to be released in the fall), some great music from some visiting musicians (Russell deCarle and Pat Temple) and some old favourites (Seldom Scene and The Johnson Mountain Boys, Ray Harris, Neville Wells, and Bob Webb.) Take a load off your feet and your mind, and have a listen.
Somebody Else’s Loss

I Won’t Cheat on my Misery
Kate Greenland - Demo track Canadian New
Those two tracks are demos from Kate Greenland's upcoming debut album, to be released in the fall. You can catch Kate every Tuesday at Le Hibou in Wakefield with Rob Clarke, and their various guests for the Folk Collusion.
Kate will also be at the John Prine tribute concert at Irene's on Friday and Saturday nights next week (April 4 & 5).
Come on down and hear a bunch of Ottawa’s musical family pay tribute to one of the best ever songwriters. I’m not sure of the complete line-up but I do know that I’ll be there on Friday night, as will Joe McDonald, and Kate Greenland, who will be there both nights, Rey Sabatin, KJ thomas, Jenny Whitely and Joey Wright, Chloe LeBerge, Chester Rose, Colleen... The show is produced by Chris Landry and Haley Wolk, who I’m pretty sure you’ll see there both nights as well. I know the house band includes Stu Rutherford and Matt Aston…Chris Landry and others I’m not aware of yet.

Handsome Molly featuring Pete Deachman - live at Eastern Ont Bluegrass Festival 2017 Canadian
Bluegrass Wednesday coming up at Red Bird, 1162 Bank, April 2. The band is none other than Handsome Molly, featuring Pete Deachman, who should get a lifetime achievement award for entertainer of the year. The band is tight, the fiddle is soaringly beautiful, and Pete’s voice and choice of songs are wonderful. I hear he might do a little tribute to John Prine in his set… After the concert there will be a Jam. Bring your instrument, your voice, and or your ears…
