Saturday March 1st, 2025 with Pat Moore
The first half of the show has a focus on Bluegrass both local and from as far away as Wales. Later in the show a brief tribute to two much loved musicians we lost last week - Brian Pickell, and Kurt Walther.

Hi Folks! Ron Moores is away sunning himself so I get to do an extra show... always a pleasure. There's bluegrass happening in town and I'll present some of that, and also a very talented bluegrass style band from Wales! A little more of The Tone Rangers, a Toronto based band who just released a new album, and Later in the show a brief tribute to two much loved musicians we lost last week - Brian Pickell (Humber River Valley Boys and more), and Kurt Walther (The Angstones and more).

Taff Rapids are a wonderful bluegrass style band from Cardiff Wales who came to Ottawa and area for the Folk Alliance last week. We presented them a year or so ago at Bluegrass Mondays (back when it was on Mondays) and they were terrific. I got to hear them again last week at the Tuesday night Folk Collusion at Le Hibou in Wakefield. I think they were even better! What a show - I thought you’d enjoy hearing a couple of songs from Taff Rapids - the second song is in Welsh, which is pretty cool.
