Some great new music, followed by remembering two great friends to our community, John Steele, and David Nichols.
This has been a difficult week. Two of our treasured friends, great artists both, have left this world. David Nichols died earlier this week - a sad day for so many, Dave was a friend, a master luthier, one of the best inlay artists you'll ever hear of, a kind and generous man, and a terrific musician. Dave will be deeply missed on both sides of the border. Then, just a day later, our dear friend John Steele passed. I cannot express in words what John meant to so many people - up the Ottawa Valley, here in town, and places far and wide John's humanity and superlative talent touched so many. In the second half of the show I pay tribute to these two dear friends. The show starts with some great new music from Canadian talent - The Tone Rangers, East Coast Experience, Shane Pendergast and Zachary Lucky. Thanks for tuning in!
