Howdy folks! Today I'll start off playing some tunes to tune you in to some upcoming live shows, plus a little look back at some older county. Here's a rundown of what's going on around the area: This Weekend - the Palmer Rapids Twin Festival - get some Bluegrass and Country, featuring bands like Edgar Loudermilk, Denis LePage and HighBanks, Crooked Creek, Crass Under Fire, Concession 23 and more on the BG stage, and on the country stage you’ll hear Andrew Hyatt, Eddie and the Stingrays, Gord Barnes & larado and more… Aug 6 at the Renfrew Fairgrounds, on the Valley Stage, CJHR is presenting an afternoon of bluegrass with Maple Hill, The Monroe Sisters, and Concession 23 This is an outdoor show, there is no fee, but they will be collecting donations for Valley Heritage Radio. Concession 23 - Off the Grid Productions in Eganville - 40$ September 9 "We offer a relaxed setting nestled in a forest at the edge of town for talented  musicians and storytellers to come and share with our community.  Along with music of different genres, we will serve up delicious food produced in the Ottawa Valley.  Ticket price includes snacks and beverages at concerts. South Grenville Bluegrass Festival Aug 10—13th featuring a whole cast of wonderful bands including Caron Peters and iron Mountain, Kevin Prater Band, The Monroe Sisters, Bill White and White Pine, Sweet Grass, Larry Efaw, and so much more… Merrickville Fair - Merrickville, voted one of the prettiest towns in Ontario, is holding it’s fair that weekend, and Maple Hill will be performing the afternoon of Aug 13 at the Merrickville Fairgrounds, sometime shortly after noon.
