I have joined the new "Back 40 Collective" and will be hosting this long standing great show once every 2 months - a great way to not only give Ron Moores a break, but it allows me, and my colleague Al Surmachynski, a chance to bring you our picks of the best of bluegrass and country music. Al and I will rotate taking a turn at the wheel of The Back 40 Show.
Today I'm going to introduce some albums that I received from Mike O'Reilly before he died... he gave to me his personal collection of bluegrass and country vinyl albums, and I am making my way through them, and digitizing the tracks so I can play them for you. I call this "Music from Michael's Vinyl Vault" For this first time Garry Greenland joined me to chat about a few of the albums I pulled out of the vault, and we'll play some tracks from these. Enjoy!
