HI, Ray. You're now playing my favourite Ray Materick song: Northbound Plane. Fun fact about Great Speckled Bird. Ian always wanted the band to be called as I've written it (i.e. with no "the" at the beginning, and no mention of his name). However, because Ian was so famous, many people, including media, called the band, "Ian Tyson and the Great Speckled Bird." I'm 90% sure the "great speckled bird" reference was from the Roy Acuff song of the same name. Lastly, you're doing an excellent job hosting: casual, sharp, and clear. Way to go!
