I could not think of a better way to start the new year than by listening to CKCU! Congratulations to Chris White for keeping Canadian Spaces on the airwaves for another year. And a special congratulations to Ian Tamblyn for being appointed as a Companion of the Order of Canada! Ian truly has made an enormous contribution to Canadian folk music and to our national artistic landscape! It is great that he is being recognized for his life's work, which is still ongoing. I love that Ian chose to play my very favourite song of his -- the 25th Hour of the Day! It was so good to hear Ian and his wife Amanda's comments. Happy New Year everyone! Joyce
