The comment just now about the need for music for labour actions reminded about a comment made a a South African community leader who was in Ottawa for leadership training in the early 90's. We were on the bus, passing the corner of Rideau and King Edward where strikers were gathered in front of the government offices. There were just walking around in circles. The South African community leader commented: "In South Africa, we would be singing". For sure!

Yes, I think a lot of meetings in South Africa start with everyone singing a song -- what a good idea!
