Mike Regenstreif is an inaugural member of Folk Music International's Folk DJ Hall of Fame. He hosted 'Folk Roots/Folk Branches' on CKUT (Montreal) for 14 years, and now hosts 'Saturday Morning' on CKCU from 7 to 10 am every four weeks. The line-up includes a Harry Manx/Steve Marriner collaboration called Manx Marriner Mainline, bilingual Juno nominee Gabrielle Shonk, and other high-profile artists. Several of the concerts are free. He was the founding Artistic Director of the Shelter Valley Folk Festival, served as the President of the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (Folk Music Ontario), and toured and recorded as a singer-songwriter for 10 years. The Folk Alliance's annual conference, which is usually held in the U.S., takes place in Montreal this year from February 13 to 17.
