Co-host Arthur McGregor presents '40 minutes of uninterrupted folk' and performs live. Susan Sweeney Hermon (Celtic harp) and Jack Pyl (flute and percussion) perform and talk about the 'Stars and Seas' story-and-song concert coming up at the Westboro Masonic Hall on Sat. Jan. 26. The concert will also feature South African-style storyteller, Jacqui du Toit, harpist, Janine Dudding and didgeridoo player Marc Vautour. Tickets and information at www.rasputins.org. Kate is a widely travelled singer-songwriter and wilderness guide, and winner of the 2017 'Songs from the Heart' award from Folk Music Ontario. She celebrates her latest album, 'Taken By Surprise', at Irene's Pub on Sunday, Jan. 20 at 3:00 pm. The album was produced by James Stephens. In addition to Colette and Rebecca, the band consists of Megan Worthy, Tim Posgate, John Switzer and Martin Worthy. As journalist Bob Mersereau says, "This is what happens when the right band meets the right songs!" Opening that show will be Saloon Dion, a project involving Gerri Trimble, Vince Halfhide, Ann Downey and Chris Breitner.
