* Brenda Galindo and Daniela Flores are music students from the University of Mexico (UNAM), currently on internships at the university's campus in Hull (Gatineau), Quebec. Brenda and Daniela perform three beautiful Argentinian compositions on flute and guitar live in the studio. * Francisco Fernandez describes the facilities and programs available at the University of Mexico's Hull campus. Their community outreach activities include a Spanish-language choir – currently led by Brenda – that all are welcome to join. UNAM was named the best Spanish-speaking university in the world by the Times Higher Education Ranking in 2007 -- see http://www.canada.unam.mx/temas.php?Language=2&wpid=0 * Ottawa-based singer-songwriter-guitarist Vince Halfhide drops by to perform some songs and update us on the solo album he is recording with producer Ken Whiteley, tentatively entitled "If Not Now". Vince plays folk, country, blues, R&B, reggae, jazz and African music styles with ease and skill. He is known for his stellar guitar work with bands such as Heaven's Radio, The Toasted Westerns, The Mighty Popo, Sneezy Waters, Andrea and the Fun Guys, The Jivewires, Larry “the Bird” Mootham, Missy Burgess and many others. His original songs are moving, imaginative and varied.
