(1) Maria Millar is an accomplished and adventurous Canadian violin player, dancer, singer, composer and performance artist who moved to Ottawa from NYC recently with her partner, flute player and singer Shawn Wyckoff. Together, they are Sonic Escape -- see http://www.sonicescapemusic.com (2) Doug McArthur is celebrating "Tears Like Rain" -- his 10th album -- at the Wakefield Library Theatre on Sat. March 11. (3) Phone interview with Stephen Fearing on tour with Blackie & the Rodeo Kings. He plays the beautiful Shenkman Centre in Orleans on Sat. March 18. (4) Rebecca Lantz and Kevin Guerette perform at Oh So Good Café in Hintonburg this evening (Sat. March 4). (5) Lynn Miles and Chrissy Steinbock talk about the "Canadian Women’s Songbook" event taking place this Sunday afternoon. Local emerging musicians will perform covers of their favourite songs by female Juno winners, followed by an artist talk with Lynn. Trinity Anglican Church in Old Ottawa South, Sun.
