Love Robert Paquette:). Way to go Grassroots Festival. Great way to start the weekend listening, with my favorite brown drink.

Thanks for song by Louis-Jean Cormier, from Les grandes artères… this is one of the best albums out of Quebec in recent years.

Next time you're playing a set of 'protest songs' consider including Louis-Jean Cormier's La fanfare also from Les grandes artères. Very impassioned and serious. Of course we also need the more positive and happy ones like Tony Turner's Harperman.

That's such a great idea, Mary-Sue!

I second Francine's comments and Jane Siberry's "Everything You Knew as a Child" is such a beautiful song. Of course i'm really loving Sills and Smith on now.

Last year's Grassroots Fest Franco-Ontario event introduced me to Eric Dubois. Became a fan right away. Hope to hear his songs featured, especially "d'autres vies" -- about getting up early, as called upon by the voice of the fields (farming). An inspiration to get out early do one's gardening -- time to start playing this album daily again...

I first heard Robert Paquette up in Sudbury in 1974, at an early version of the Northern Lights Folk Festival, and at a music workshop I took with him as part of language learning. I think I still have his vinyl. Great choice for the show, and for Grassroots.
