Bob Bossin, Ian Tamblyn, Mike Sankey

Bob Bossin (of Stringband fame) makes a return visit. The Gabriola Island resident has been in Ottawa performing a Fringe Festival musical about his father, "Davy the Punk". Ian Tamblyn recently released his 37th CD, "The Labrador". A playwright, producer, teacher, adventurer, multiple award winner and long-time friend of Chopper McKinnon, Ian is the songwriter-in-residence at Carleton University and at Torngat National Park on the north Labrador coast. Guitar builder Mike Sankey performs live and talks about the 3rd annual Ottawa Guitar Show taking place at the Glebe Community Centre on Sunday from 10am to 5pm. The free show features guitars by 36 builders and concerts all day (http://www.ottawaguitarshow.com/exhibitors.html, http://www.facebook.com/OttawaGuitarShow).

There is always plenty to do while we hear Canadian Spaces. Tis the season for cutting up some scapes from our Garlic plants.

Appropriate to include two McGarrigle songs in the 40 mins since they stride like a colossus over the genre of folk.

What do the grey stars beside some of the song selections stand for? Love Ian's new album. Great show!

Grey stars means released in the last months and therefore eligible for the CKCU charts. Bob Bossin's "The Roses on Annie's Table" is one of my favourite albums, and his story of the McGarrigle-Muldaur-Boyd connexion was historic. Thank you for coming on CKCU, Bob.
