Part 1 of the Bullet Records Blues story. Bullet Records was one of the first, and initially one of the most successful of the post WW2 independent record labels. The venture was started in 1945 by Jim Bulliet and partners Wally Fowler and C.V. Hitchcock. Bullies was the booking agent for WSM radio in Nashville Tennessee where he handled many of the Grand Old Opry stars. The company intended to record pop, country music, gospel and rhythm and blues. Circumstances ultimately dictated a focus on hillbilly and R&B. This compilation on the German SPV label focuses on the blues side of the artists recording for Bullet.
