I have Dave Van Ronk's great double-CD "To All My Friends in Far-Flung Places". It's nice to hear that song sung by composer Jane Voss. So many other great songs on this show. Thanks Mike. Next up to listen is your top 10 on Stranger Songs.

'(Can I) Come Across to You' - makes me smile every time! Mike, thanks for playing Bruce's song and so many wonderful songs this snowy Montreal morning. Bon Hiver :)

Thanks Penny. (Can I) Come Across to You was one of the first songs I learned when I started to play guitar in 1972. I'm thinking that's the song I heard you play in the Westmount Square tunnel so long ago.

Can I Come Across To You was one of the songs that I remember Penny Lang singing at show rehearsals when I met her. It's such a great song, and good to hear Bruce on the show.

Thanks Joanne. It's on two of Penny Lang's CDs.

Yes, that is the song I was playing that day. Fun fact that it was the first song you learned on guitar :) I love Penny Lang's version as well :)

Not the first one, but "one of the first." I started om the guitar a month or two before I presented my first ever concert: Bruce Murdoch at Dawson College on November 18, 1972. Kevin Head showed me my first chords and strums and he was Bruce's opening act.
