Lots of wonderful Canadian tunes today, mixed with a few non-Canadian. Some up beat swing to get things going, some great singer-songwriter, The Good Lovelies for Bonnie, JP Cormier on banjo for Kate, bluegrass in set 2 including side 2 of the vinyl Clara's Boys, a wonderful Allen Brother's album. This is from a collection of albums that Mike O'Reilly gave me before he passed. I love the crackle of vinyl...
I start set 3 off with an interview with Ben Nesrallah, a talented multi-instrumentalist who some of you will know as the fiddler with Noisy Locomotive, a local old time band. Ben has a Masters in Music on the piano, and has just released Blizzard, his first piano recording.
I continue the 3rd hour with wonderful local talent.
