Saturday Morning
Saturday February 6th, 2021 with Pat Moore
Music to wake up to! Get your Saturday off to a great start with a cornucopia of wonderful music selected specifically for you!

I love Saturday mornings, whether it’s Mike, Al, Steve or me at the controls the Sat Morning Show always picks me up! I’m going to do my best to pick you up too! I’ve got a lot of fun features in todays’ show, including a whole hour starting at hour 2, 8am on Sea Shanties. We’re going to start today with a feature on Jon Batiste, first a couple of songs from his jazz album, Hollywood Africans, then the Soul song I was telling you about (from the youtube video). I bought the song, We Are, and the rest of the album is not yet released. Then… a track or two from the Soundtrack for the motion picture SOUL. Starting with The Very Thought of You. Hour 3 will keep you closer to home, with some "not heard often enough" beautiful music from folks living in our own neck of the woods. The show ends with a selection from Dave Kalil’s FB Live show from last week, which raised $9000 for the Ottawa charity organization Shelter Movers. This snippet from his solo show will perhaps get you in the mood to catch his weekly FB Live show, 7:30pm every Sat night since the pandemic started, and always contributing something toward various local charities.
