We begin with reggae music from: The Abyssinians, Morgan Heritage, Mutabaruka, Garnet Challenger and others. The blues, soul and gospel part of the program will also have some jazz. Jazz on the bluesy side including: Archie Shepp and Horace Parlan, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and the more traditional sound from Ottawa’s own Hugh O’Connor. And, at 9AM, the Mighty Popo will be in to talk about an event that is taking place on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at the St. Brigid's Centre for the Arts. The event is a fundraiser for 'Kigali Up!', which is a music festival that Popo is organizing in Kigali, Rwanda (kigaliup.org).
