Tomorrow at the Black Sheep, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Join us for an evening of music and speakers showcasing how La Pêche can and will respond to the climate crisis. ARTISTS: Ian Tamblyn, Alise Marlane, Paugan Dames, Anouk Gregoire & Greg Stone, Lucila Al Mar, Mia Kelly, Claire Bestland, Phil Jenkins and Ilse Turnsen SPEAKERS: Catherine Abreu (Climate Action Network Canada), Emma Lui (Ottawa Water Study/Action Group and the Council of Canadians) and Vi Bui (Our Time and the Council of Canadians) You'll learn about ways you can take action including signing a petition to declare a climate emergency in La Pêche, advocating for a Green New Deal in Canada and attending the climate strike on Parliament Hill on September 27 as well as local climate debates. Climate Emergency is here and the implications are dire. Never has understanding our biospheric and human connections mattered more. Never has local leadership and individual action mattered more. Never has working together mattered more. This event takes place on the unceded, unsurrendered land of the Algonquin Nation.
