Farther Along Was driving home from the city the other night - having taken in the Sneezy Waters and Friends 'United In Song' commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Winnipeg General Strike at the Bronson Centre - and was surfing the radio wavelengths in search of some roadworthy ritmos to head north on. Ahh... Leon Redbone's distinctive dulcet tones drift in like a low velvet ceiling via CHUO. Very fine company for an evening drive. And what's this? Another Leon song and then another... the host wasn't saying anything - maybe he, or she, was airing a Redbone feature? University community radio, gotta' love it. Didn't hear the news about the displaced in time, talented soul's leaving town for that beautiful shore until the next morning. Have always enjoyed your mellow tunes and their 1920s sensibility, Leon. The Harvest Moon shines on more warmly and richly thanks to your smooth serenading. Mahalo ~ l Coyote PS: Nice co-tribute to Mose Scarlett along with the nod to Monsieur Redbone, Ms Moore. Keep up the good wireless works
