I was in Austin last weekend to attend the Eastside Kings Festival organized by Eddie Stout of Dialtone Records (www.dialtonerecords.com). And while on my program of September 3 I previewed a few of the artists that appear, I am recapping on this program, so a couple of the artists I saw at the festival, specifically: Gregg A. Smith, who along with Ernie Johnson and Bobby Patterson, delivered a great soul-blues evening at Bad Lands on Chicon; and even though I played her on my previous program, Barbara Lynn because she delivered the live music set of the year, perhaps of the past few. |
