Hey Pat once again like you,Myself & everyone at CKCU another longtime member of the CKCU Family has left us so very soon Chopper McKinnon and the end of every Canadian Spaces Show Chopper always told his space cadets to go out and support live entertainment always have & always will as for Me I remember first seeing and meeting Chopper in person My first time back in 1994 when I was working at CKCU the same year they brought back the Ottawa Folk Festival I was very happy to know him as a friend and I loved him and will miss him so much.

I send my sincere condolences to Chopper's family and friends, the gang at CKCU and everyone who loves music. Chopper supported musicians and writers and we all owe him for that. Thanks, Chopper. It was a long road but you walked it well.

the last time I saw Chopper he was peering out from behind a huge stick of celery which was in his post breakfast Caesar at Irene's. He had sounded so great on air that morning, and I'm glad I told him so,:) :(
