Happy Friday Drivers family and welcome to this week’s show!
Digging through the crates excitedly prepping for this Saturday’s throw down fill in for the monthly “Kaminsky Selects” at Ten Toes on Somerset. More details at the top of hour two.
Hasn’t been since the Tropikalo parties with DJ Zattar that I’ve had the opportunity dug into these vibes for a public all vinyl set.
All to say that his week you can expect a healthy dose of music from warmer climates as well as music influenced by the music from those climates with the whole show being a wind up for the final long weekend of the summer.
A lot of African music ie: Congolese Rumba, Manding and Soukousss, Afrobeat some Latin vibes and a little Ska and hopefully a couple of surprises, time permitting.
Thanks for being here and hope you all enjoy this week’s playlist selections!
