Happy Friday Drivers!
Today’s show will be a shorter playlist than usual as I’m dedicating most of the first hour to one of Krautrock’s most influential guitarist, Emanuel Gõttsching’s ambient masterpiece E2-E4 in honour of his passing on December 4th.
His style and technique influenced dozens of artists in the post-Eno ambient and Berlin School of electronic music scenes in the 1980s and 1990s.
I picked up my copy of E2-E4 from Elorious Caine back in the day at the legendary ABM records and pretty sure I first hear E2-E4 on “The Groove” or “Friday Morning Cartunes”.

In hour two we’re going to heat things up a little with a short tribute set to to guitarist Ekambi Brilliant of Cameroun, in honour of his passing on December 12.
“Short” because of the limited discography I possess.
Planning on keeping the tropical vibes rolling with samplings from some very nice African recordings to close the show.
