Hello Drivers! I hope you can all forgive me for re airing a past show last week and I hope to make it up to you all this afternoon/ evening or whenever you may be listening. Into summer the first long weekend of summer of 2021 and at the time I’m putting this together the weather forecast was promising it would be a rainy day this Friday and I hope this soundtrack will fit. This week we’ll be hearing music from Sun Ra's legendary 1978 album Lanquidity. Which was recorded by another legend in his own right Bob Blank in one night and released twice with different takes of certain songs featured on each release. Both of the original albums have recently been reissued by Strut Records in a single package. Sun Ra is always in vogue but especially now with all the UFO talk lately. Hour two will be filled by some Jazz and soul with a little extra peek at the essential and recently reissued Ron Everette album “The Glitter of the City” beautifully redone by Jazzman Records, sandwiched between various 45's.
