For my Canada Day, I went to Victoria Island to welcome Chimeda - We are paddling (pronounced Chee-may-da) on their arrival from Wakefield. On last Friday's Window of Opportunity you can (still) listen to my interview with Celine (organizer), Sariya and Jericho. Canada Day is the one day in the year that the Algonquin 'mini-reserve' is open to the public. While waiting for the canoes, I watched a spirited dance and drums performance, and will play a sample. When the young people arrived I was able to speak again with Sariya.

Before my intro to the final track I said it was recorded in 1996. Oops - it was 1966 as stated opposite.

Tony I want to thank you again, for having me to Window Of Opportunity! It was a great show as usual! From classical music, to First Nation drumming celebration, to original acoustic blues and Jimmy Hendrix performing in Ottawa, WOW! What a show indeed! Enjoy your summer and see you soon, to help promoting my new instrumental cd, probably in 2016. Peace, health and music for ever! :-)
