The "-appy" rhyme up there reminds me of something Julie Doiron said on stage, once upon a time at the Black Sheep Inn. Having saqid something like people remark that a lot of her songs are sad, she said that it's really hard to write a happy song without sounding sappy. Which is, as it happens, the name of her label (I think it's hers): Sappy Records. There. Free factoid.

Thx for your thoughts, Dylan. And Barrymores deserved better than that scenario. Telsat years ago offered me a contract to put together a regular live concert TV production at Barrymores. The club weren't interested at all so it went nowhere. l

dancing on the first level by the railing i think it was a tall young slender Dylan, soon to become master of pinheads, that informed us we can't do that and have to go to the floor. this was at the barrymores ramones show, '92, '93. and just look at me now, a graduated, loyal and gracious pinhead. thanks Dylan!

wtf Mike, how did you know? I did work there, in '91, and I was working that show. Crazy. I was asked to score them 18 grams of hash that night as part of their rider lol. That job was.... different.
