Going back to the Stones and their first, maybe first two albums, it is in retrospect quite amazing that they introduced a bunch of (North) Americans to a slew of retreaded American blues songs they didn't know... The Beatles at first also had some American songs on their albums (see link), but it was the Rolling Stones that rejigged a lot of those Black blues songs back into N America. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Please_Please_Me

I was lucky top be of just the right age for The Beatles, the Stones, Kinks, etc., after having grown up with Bong Crosby and Elvis, say. And then The beatles etc. turned into 1967-1970, and the Led Zep, etc. Super lucky I was. Such a profusion of musics.
