"weakly supported"? mmmm. Anyways, it is fine equipment, just fine for it's time ie old, which doesn't necessarily mean it's not good. The new crap would not perform nearly as well this many years later. It just needs a little tweaking and there are not too many people around who work on FM STL units anymore. Most stations send their signals to Fortune via Fiber rather than microwave signals via terrestrial towers at their stations. We are looking into that as an option moving forward. In the meantime, shit happens.

I thank Dylan very much for his explanation of the problem. You know, old, FM, isn't necessarily bad. Remember my setup Dylan? The Sony AM/FM boombox in my kitchen strategically placed between the fridage and store with th antenne under the microwave? Well, I was going to throw away another old Sony portable am/fm cassette player, because the cassette player wasnt working ( yes, I actually kept and listen to cassettes!!!), decided to try CKCU ?... unbelievable réception!!! And no crazy setup needed!?! And 6 D batteries! So everybody, me especially, be patient, "be cool" as Mick Jagger said in Altamont
