| Hugh Hopper: Born 29 April 1945 Canterbury, Kent, England. In 1964 with Brian Hopper (his brother), Robert Wyatt, Kevin Ayers and Richard Sinclair formed The Wilde Flowers. The Wilde Flowers are acknowledged as the founders of the Canterbury scene spawning both Soft Machine and Caravan.
